Respiratory Physiotherapy

What is Neurological Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation?

We offer a range of respiratory services to individuals undergoing mechanical ventilation, managing cases with a tracheostomy in situ, and addressing impaired respiratory function, frequently associated with neuromuscular weakness. Our goal is to provide customised care that addresses the unique needs of each individual.

Respiratory physiotherapy is focused on:

1. Reducing the physical work of breathing
2.Optimizing lung compliance and airway patency
3. Improve exercise tolerance
4. Preventing secondary complications

Whilst such conditions are often highly complex, the right treatment plan will help to guide and support you on your journey toward achieving your goals.

Personalised Treatment Plans

Everybody is different, and every case is unique. Even with the same diagnosis, our lifestyles, challenges, goals and aspirations all differ. Therefore every treatment plan should too.

We use evidence-based practice, validated assessment tools, and a biopsychosocial approach that takes an individuals biological, psychological and social factors into consideration to provide optimal treatment.

Understanding that physiotherapy is often only a piece of the puzzle within a patients’ broader rehabilitation plan leads us to collaborating with other specialists wherever we believe it’s necessary, so you can enjoy the best possible outcome.
